Nuchal translucency scan is one of the most important scans in pregnancy. It is done between 11 to 13 weeks 6 days gestation. It is helpful to reconfirm the dating and also serves as an excellent screening test for structural defects and chromosomal aneuploidies. Along with the biochemical screening it is 93 – 95 % sensitive in determining chromosomal aneuploidies.
