Growth and Doppler Scans

Service Description

These scans are done generally from 30 weeks gestation onwards at regular intervals to estimate the growth of the fetus. The growth of the fetus is monitored with the help of growth charts based on various factors such as gestational age, ethnicity etc. Doppler flows in Umbilical artery, Middle cerebral artery and Ductus venosus give us information regarding the growth of the fetus. In cases of growth restriction , these vessels give us valuable information as the Doppler flows are altered. They are very useful in monitoring fetuses with growth restriction as they give us indications for timely interventions.
